They were happy. I'm thinking of getting one for myself. We bought this as a gift for my Dad and his girlfriend. We were happy.
I highly recommend it. The sound is much better than I anticipated. Every scratch on my old records is just a memory from the past. This stereo is definitely one of the best purchases I have made for myself in a long time. This stereo arrived today, and I have not been able to stop listening to it. With a 1940s look and the ability to play all of my old 45s, I could not be happier. I have played CDs, cassettes, and the radio as well.
Otherwise it is sturdy and arrived without any scratches or nicks. The knob on the tuner is really hard to turn. The turntable and cd player works very well and has good sound quality
Very nice. Has everything one needs in one place with a great "antique" look.
But this is exactly what I was looking for; it looks great in my living room and is loud enough to fill my one level house with music. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. First off, I'll say that my stereo came in more of a cherry color--which actually worked out better for me, but may not for some. And the price was fantastic.
